I really need a definitive answer on this. We have used a few different brands of filters in the past, but in my old age I’m getting cheap. -45 (Home Dept or online) for a filter seems excessive, but I do want to get what I pay for. First, does the fridge take a 4396395 or a ukf8001axx filter. Then, any suggestions on where I can find one "cheap"? Thank you

This is a fairly recent problem, that has nothing to do with an internal filter change (which I did correctly 4 months ago).

After pushing the lever to get water, when we release the arm it still slowly drains water for another 10-15 seconds. AND when we do push for water, the water pressure is a lot lower than what it used to be and it takes longer to fill up the glass.

Please help!!!
The fridge is a side-by-side Amana Distinction, model number DRS2662AW, about 10 years old.

I have had the fridge since August 2008 and the water dispenser worked for a brief period of time, but water has not come from it in a really long time. I can occasionally get a drip or two from it if the ice dispenser is going at the exact same moment. Is this an issue with the water filter or something that I should get someone to service?

I know some websites say that Kenmore water filters are at the bottom, in the grill, but I can clearly see that mine has the water filter on the inside of the fridge, under the top.
last question, are filters easy to change??
